As Korra Book 4 finally aired last friday which I’m very excited about… my 2 years of great privilege to work on ‘The Legend of Korra’ & ‘TMNT’ at NIckelodeon Studio has came to an end.  I feel very blessed that I was part of such an amazing high profile shows, and have met so many wonderful artists and friends.  I wish a best luck to Nick.  I’m leaving the studio to continue some new adventure at new location.  Please keep supporting Korra Book 4 and Ninja Turtles! Bye Korra~ Bye April~

I have a question I know it may seem a tad bit cliche, but I want to get into the same field as you. what would be in a strong portfolio? if you could help I'd be really greatful!

Hm… I don’t have a portfolio for 12 years after CalArts graduation. I’m also curious how others put their portfolio together.

So I love Korra and I recently got really into Generator Rex! I was wondering what part of Rex did you like working on?

I was part of GR project as a freelancer for only couple episodes.  It was my first action show, I struggled most of time with my lack of skill.  I didn’t really follow the story back then. I think I liked drawing that monkey character. =)

ziggy9911 asks:

bro you have great work and thanks for being a part of the people who bring out Korra! I'm curious, do you have any tips for other artists out there? I really love your portrayal of the human body. Any books/other mediums you used to get where you are now? Please don't be vague like "just practice alot". What did you practice? What resources did/do you use? Thanks again@

First, you can start to draw these.

I’ve received sudden the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Albert Jang. I assumed people will be more interested in to see an art work about ice bucket challenge, rather than watching some unknown boring guy like me getting soaked with water. So instead of video recording myself, I just did this art sketch to sub for me meanwhile donation given to support ALS. For next, I CHALLENGE YOU, SHAUN O’NEIL, CHRIS PALMER & EUGENE LEE. (former storyboard artists from Korra!)
